Artfinder

Artfinder focuses on selling original artwork and limited edition prints with a maximum edition size of 250. While Artfinder operates on a subscription service for artists, the monthly fees are free to low across the three subscription tiers.

Fees and Requirements

  • Artfinder’s commission per sale is 40 to 45%. There is no commission fee for shipping.
  • Requires an application.
  • Must submit 4-6 examples of your artwork when applying.
  • Requires an Instagram account, Facebook page or personal website with a clear focus on your artwork
  • Artists manage order fulfillment as well as managing their shop page.
  • 3 subscription tiers: Starter, Standard, and Professional, ranging from 5 artwork uploads to unlimited.

Singulart

Fees and Requirements

  • 3-tiered subscription plan, with the Silver plan allowing up to 10 artworks and the Gold and Platinum plans offering unlimited artworks.
  • Works on glass, ceramics, jewelry and clothing are not accepted.
  • No exclusivity requirements.
  • Requires an application and Singulart Committee review.

Amazon Handmade

While Amazon is the most well-known selling platform in the world, the Amazon Handmade store takes it a step further and focuses more on handmade art and crafts in a variety of product types, from fine art to handmade journals and everything in between.

Fees and Requirements

  • Must complete a vetting application and audit to prove authenticity.
  • Amazon retains a 15% referral fee per sale.
  • The types of art that may be listed in the Amazon Fine Art Store:
  • One of a kind paintings, watercolors, drawings, and two-dimensional mixed media
  • A print or photograph in a limited edition in an edition of 200 or less and the only edition of the work published in that size (the same image can also have editions of up to 200 in other sizes).
  • Secondary-sale works (artwork with a sales history): Works must be authenticated by the seller; the seller must have proof of purchase or title for the work and provide it to the buyer; listings should include provenance (with sales history) where applicable
