The word on the street is that Amazon’s Kindle Digital Platform is now expanding their Kindle Select program to include the addition of public libraries. On August 30, 2025, I talked with multiple KDP reps to confirm this news.

According to Amazon, the Kindle Recaps feature works similarly to TV show recaps in that it will supply a quick rundown of character arcs and storylines from previous books in a series. While this might seem a harmless and even welcome feature for readers, if you scratch the patina to find the fine print underneath, it’s not so benign after all.
